Programs
Neighbors In Need serves 350 families per week in food pantries throughout
Lawrence and Methuen. The Infant in Need Program provides baby formula and
diapers for at-risk children. The Adopt-A-Family Program provides holiday
meals and gifts. Neighbors In Need distributes clothing and household
items donated by individuals, schools and local corporations.
Since 1983
Neighbors In Need has distributed over 4 million pounds of food to hungry families in Greater
Lawrence.

Food is distributed at eight Food Pantries strategically
located throughout the neighborhoods of Lawrence and Methuen. Last year
Neighbors In Need distributed over 220,000 pounds of food to 15,000 families
and 46,800 individuals, including 20,489 children under the age of 18.

The Infants In Need
program provides formula, diapers and other baby products to over 500
mothers and caregivers of infants and toddlers annually. In 2005, we
distributed 22,000 diapers and 500 cans of formula. Formula and
diapers are available at 95 East Haverhill St., Monday through Friday, 8 am
- 12 noon.

Through the
Adopt-A-Family program at Thanksgiving
and Christmas, donor families provided a complete holiday dinner with all
the fixings to more than 640 families last year.

The Clothes Bin Program
receives donations of clothing and distributes them to pantry guests,
homeless shelters, nursing homes, social service providers and day care
centers. Donated clothing, furniture and infant needs valued at
$60,000 were distributed last year.
